One of the problems that often arise in the development of embedded systems, is a lack of SRAM. To solve this problem allows the use of external memory, but this function is not available in all microcontrollers.
This board is based on AT91SAM7SE512 microcontroller from ATMEL, which has an external bus interface (EBI) for access to external memory of:

  • SDRAM
  • Static Memory
  • CompactFlash ®
  • ECC-enabled NAND Flash

8Mbit SRAM CY62157EV30-LL can be installed on board, which connected with 16-bit bus (please choose as option during creating order). All the controller ports and power are connected to The connectors EXT1, EXT2. This makes possible to connect other memory types to EBI interface of AT91SAM7SE512, as well as to increase the scheme as necessary. The board uses a standard 20-pin JTAG connector for in-circuit debugging and programming.
However, it is possible to program the board without JTAG programmer - on USB with integrated into AT91SAM7SE512 bootloader.
Board has small dimensions, and can easily be used for use in finished devices
